Why become a YWCA sponsor?
“Many people don’t know we exist, until they need us…”
While we’re constantly working to create a more well-known presence in the community, we don’t mind being an organization that is based more on need, than want.
When people need counseling, we’re here. When people need quality childcare, we’re here. When a woman and her children need to escape violence in the middle of the night, our doors are open to her. Families can’t afford clothing or shoes for their children, and My Sister’s Closet becomes an answer to many prayers.
We might not be able to create a product that the entire population of Enid will want, but we’re working on a daily basis to meet the needs of those who, for one day, would maybe like to focus on something they truly want, instead of thinking of getting through “just one more day.”
But, we need your help! A sponsorship contribution to the YWCA is not about receiving a product in return. It’s about providing an opportunity for this organization to continue to meet the needs of a growing community. Many of our services are free or offered at reduced rates. We rely on grants for a majority of our funding but there are still many, many gaps that need to be filled!
